HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Budo Vocational College in Kimbejja-Budo (BVC) is a private institution founded in 2020. It aims at providing vocational training to the youth in Uganda. BVC was started during the difficult time of COVID-19 lockdowns. This left many young people locked down in their homes without any skills and so it was timely to start an institution to bridge that gap.
The institute is located in Kimbejja-Budo, Kyengera town council about 10 kilometers from Kampala, the capital of Uganda. It is only about 800 Metres from Budo Junior School. It is found along Mutumba Close in Kimbejja.
Budo Vocational College offers a variety of vocational courses, including fashion and design, computer studies, agriculture, business administration, and hairdressing etc. The courses are designed to give students the skills they need to find employment in these trades. In addition to vocational training, BVC also offers Business and Entrepreneurship as well as life skills training.
BVC has had a significant impact on the lives of the youth in Central Uganda. Since its founding, the institute has trained over 100 students. These students have gone on to find employment in a variety of trades, and many have started their own businesses. BVC has also helped to reduce poverty and unemployment in the region.
BVC is a valuable resource for the youth in Central Uganda. The institute provides them with the skills they need to find employment and improve their lives. BVC is a shining example of how non-profit organizations can make a real difference in the lives of people in need.

They are also able to send their children to school. BVC is a valuable resource for the youth in Central Uganda.
